Information pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 of 30 June 2003 – "Code regarding the protection of personal data"

 

Pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003, we inform you that we process the personal data of customers and suppliers, as well as of other individuals who voluntarily provide us with their personal data verbally or in writing, or whose personal data are communicated to us by third parties or were taken from public directories. This exclusively concerns common/ordinary personal data, and therefore no "sensitive" data.

We guarantee, within the scope of legal requirements, that the processing of personal data will be carried out with due regard for the fundamental rights and freedoms as well as the dignity of the data subject, with particular reference to confidentiality, personal identity, and the right to protection of personal data.

 

Aim and Purpose of Data Processing

 

  • Fulfillment of legal obligations, obligations arising from regulations, Community standards, as well as civil and tax laws.

  • Fulfillment of any contractual obligations towards the data subject.

  • Fulfillment of activities in connection with our company's business activities, such as completing internal statistics, for accounting purposes, and for keeping customer and supplier records.

  • Commercial objectives, such as sending business information and advertising material (by post, fax, and e-mail), marketing, and market research.

  • Protection of claims and management of liabilities.

  • Objectives relating to insurance, particularly credit insurance.

In relation to the objectives indicated above, your personal data will be forwarded if necessary to:

  • Public administrations and authorities, if this is legally required.

  • Credit institutions with which our company maintains business relationships for the management of claims/liabilities and the processing of payments.

  • All those natural and/or legal, public and/or private persons (legal, administrative, and tax consulting offices, courts, chambers of commerce, etc.), if the forwarding proves necessary or expedient for the exercise of our activity and in the manner indicated above with the corresponding objectives.

The personal data processed by our company will not be unlawfully forwarded to third parties or disseminated in any other form.

Data processing can be carried out with or without electronic devices and includes all operations provided for in Article 4, paragraph 1, letter a) of Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003 and necessary for the data processing in question. In any case, the data processing will be carried out in compliance with all necessary security measures.

 

Rights of the Data Subject (Art. 7)

 

According to Article 7 of the Data Protection Act, the data subject has the right:

  • To know which data the Data Controller holds about them.

  • To be informed, in an understandable form, of the origin, reason, and purpose of the use and processing of the data.

  • To know the name of the Data Controller and the Data Processor.

  • To know the names of third parties to whom their personal data are forwarded.

  • To check, correct, or confirm the accuracy of their data.

  • To request that their data be deleted, blocked, or transformed into anonymous data, if the use or processing of the data violates legal provisions.

  • To object, entirely or partially, to the processing of their data for justified reasons.
